Description:
Tillandsia filifolia is a unique air plant native to Central America, particularly Costa Rica and Mexico. It features a rosette shape with thread-like, needle-shaped leaves and can grow up to 6 inches tall and 8 inches wide. This epiphyte thrives in semi-shaded areas with good airflow and requires frequent watering, but it does not need soil to grow. It produces small white to lilac flowers and is known for its slow growth and winter dormancy. Not frost-hardy, it propagates through pups at the base of the flowers.
