Description:
Citrus japonica 'Centennial Variegated' is a unique citrus plant with variegated yellow and green foliage and fruits that mature from striped green to orange with red stripes. The fruit has a flavor reminiscent of both kumquats and mandarin oranges. This broadleaf evergreen flowers in the fall, with fruit ripening in late winter, and can hold its fruit for several months. It grows well in pots, either indoors or outdoors, and prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Suitable for USDA zones 9 and 10, it can also be grown indoors in cooler climates.
