Description:

Agave palmeri is the largest Agave species in the United States, featuring a basal leaf rosette up to 120 cm in length with jagged edges and sharp spines. It blooms from June to August with pale yellow and green flowers, producing a flower spike that can reach up to 25 feet tall. Native to southern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, Sonora, and Chihuahua, this plant is adapted to dry, rocky areas and is tolerant of temperatures around 14°F.
