Description:

This evergreen shrub produces bright pinkish-lavender blooms from April through May and has leaves that turn burgundy in fall. It attracts butterflies and hummingbirds and grows to a height of 2 to 4 feet with a spread of 3 to 5 feet. The plant thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4 through 9 and prefers a semi-shady spot with moist, loamy soil.
