Leucocasia gigantea

Leucocasia gigantea, originating from wild-collected seed in Thailand, is a massive plant that can reach up to 9 feet tall in the wild. It features glaucous-grey foliage with leaves over 5 feet long and 4 feet wide, and large, pleasantly scented white flowers. This winter-hardy form has been cultivated successfully in Zone 7b gardens without mulch since 1999. Its giant upright leaves and fast-multiplying clump make it a dramatic addition to any garden.
