Meehania cordata

Meehania cordata, also known as evergreen woodland mint, is a perennial plant with blush pink flowers and heart-shaped leaves. It thrives in average to slightly moist conditions and prefers light shade to morning sun. This plant forms a 3-foot wide patch in three years and is found in moist shady banks in eastern North America. Meehania cordata is endangered in Pennsylvania and threatened in Tennessee, highlighting its ecological significance. Its delicate flowers and spreading growth habit make it a charming addition to woodland gardens.

Meehania montis-koyae

Meehania montis-koyae is an endangered woodland mint from Honshu, Japan, spreading by shallow rhizomes. It features small, heart-shaped, olive-green leaves and mauvy-pink flowers from February to April. This plant goes dormant during extended summer heat, returning in fall.
