Delosperma 'Beaufort West'

Family: Aizoaceae, Genus: Delosperma

Description:

Delosperma 'Beaufort West' is a unique succulent known for its resilience in high alpine environments. This plant forms a tiny, slow-spreading cushion only about 1 inch tall, adorned with light pink flowers that bloom in April. It thrives in dry conditions and is not fond of summer rains or high humidity, making it ideal for xeriscaping. Despite its delicate appearance, it flowers all summer long at the Denver Botanic Garden. This evergreen perennial is also rabbit resistant and attracts butterflies, making it a charming addition to rock gardens and green roofs.
