It can grow up to 8 feet tall and 5 feet wide, making it a striking addition to any garden. This plant is tap-rooted and resents disturbance, preferring well-drained soil and cooler climates. Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit, it is not suitable for hot southern climates but thrives in temperate regions.
