Description:
A hybrid of Lilium canadense and Lilium grayi, this plant is found below 3,000 feet elevation in the southern Appalachian mountains. It thrives in moist open woodlands and seasonally flooded sites, producing 4.5-foot stalks with solitary down-turned red flowers that are heavily spotted inside and widely flared at the bottom.
