Description:
This plant is a close relative of Aponogeton madagascariensis and is found in fast-flowing water in Madagascar. It has lacy, broad leaves with swallow-tailed white or yellowish flowers that are self-pollinating. The plant prefers a substrate low in organic matter and grows best with the roots of nearby companion plants. The bulb should be partially buried, and the plant is sensitive to a lack of soluble iron in the water. It is suitable for background or midground in aquariums and has a height of 12-24 inches.
